The following are PLCS school board candidates we opposed but did not advance to the general election. We opposed these candidates for the dangers they represented to our students, teachers and community. Be sure to check out our dedicated pages on Loan and Ralph as well.
Loan Eby
A self-proclaimed extremist, Loan wishes to disband student clubs that are committed to making schools safer and more accepting of all students calling them “harmful”. Loan has also publicly advocated for targeting teachers’ certifications, jeopardizing their livelihoods, solely over her disagreement with educational materials. She has publicly targeted constituents and teachers she disapproves of from her online campaign page, and has forced taxpayers to foot the bill for recent legal budget increases due to her pursuits of her spiteful agenda.
“Q: I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. A: STRONGLY DISAGREE” -Loan Eby’s answer on a candidate survey
Ralph tate
Ralph is a proponent of legislation that would effectively REMOVE funding from public schools. He has advocated for banning books he has never read. He also accosted a PLCS mom and her young daughter on school property without provocation, requiring police intervention in order for her and her daughter to safely leave.
“I believe the NSEA should have no input to educational standards. They are a political body whose objective is to defend the public educational bureaucracy.” – Ralph Tate’s answer on a candidate survey about the NSEA, a member-directed teachers’ association representing 26,000 public school teachers in Nebraska.
